Assateague Island National Seashore
Just 15 minutes south of Ocean City, this is a must-see. It’s famous for its wild horses that roam the beaches and marshes. It feels worlds away from the neon of the boardwalk.
- Great for hiking, bird watching, and uncrowded beaches.
- Pro-Tip: Bring plenty of bug spray—the marsh mosquitoes are legendary!
Berlin, Maryland
Voted America's "Coolest Small Town," Berlin is just 10 miles inland. It’s a beautifully preserved historic town with great antiquing, boutique shops, and local restaurants.
Movie Trivia: Both "Runaway Bride" and "Tuck Everlasting" were filmed right here on Main Street.
